Hi newboy

I've seen a lot of people into New Thought who recommend Tolle. Is his philosophy NT oriented?
I read "The Power of Now" at the recommendation of another poster here at jwd and loved it. (Thanks, James Thomas!)
Received my copy of the power of now yesterday - understand what you mean, New Boy. Definitely worth reading.
Thanks to James Thomas too for recommending it.

Hi all! It's been a while since I've responded to anything. Hope all are well. I absolutely love Tolle. His bio online is pretty informative as well as his books. He does reference NT some, but only in a way to get the average disheartened Christian to open their minds. Does anyone relate to what he calls the "pain body"?
I just got "the power of now" on a recommendation from a friend and I'll be starting it this week.
I've thumbed through it and it looks amazing. can't wait to read it....
I read it a couple of years ago - The Power of Now. Great book - I got a lot out of it. I was struck by his description of what happened when he becamed enlightened. He said he sat on a park bench and laughed for a couple of years. I found that believable somehow - I think if there is such a thing as "enlightenment" it might strike a person that way. I thought it was interesting too that he said it is possible for the whole human race to screw it all up and not reach enlightenment - depressing but it seems true to me. No guarantees for the human race anyway, eventually our solar system is going to spin into a black hole and disappear. Thanks for reminding me of the book - I think I'll dig it out and read it again.
read it too, at the suggestion of JT
Need to read it again,

yes, changed my thinking.
