    I have just been listening to my new CD of a choir singing Christmas carols.

    Ive never really listened to the words properly before, but they really are beautiful. I know some witness who would put their hands over their ears and tra-la-la, to avoid being contaminated by these satanic songs...........................I always secretly loved them but even I would avoid listening to them

    My favorite has always been silent night. What is yours?

    Satanic?

    I suppose the ones referring to Jesus being God, such as 'O Come All Ye Faithful' (Adeste Fideles), and of course any containing a hint of worship might not be popular.

    I think my favourite traditional carol is 'It came upon a midnight clear', Especially this verse:

    Yet with the woes of sin and strife,
    The world hath suffered long;
    Beneath the angel-strain have rolled,
    Two thousand years of wrong;
    And man, at war with man, hears not,
    The love song which they bring:
    O hush the noise, ye men of strife,
    And hear the angels sing.

    Regardless of the religious context, I think the message of this verse is the same - stop rushing around, fighting and worrying, stand still awhile and take in the beauty of creation, the things that really matter.

    Mines is an oldie non-traditional Xmas song. It's an R&B song by Donny Hathaway called "This Christmas".

    I always felt that if the song was true to the Bible account...why would it be demonic.

    And then there are songs such as Jingle Bells that have nothing about Christmas in them, or Let it Snow or Winter Wonderland.

    The very first Xmas song I remember hearing was "Rudolf the red nose raindeer"

    I don't know if it could really be called a christmas carol but I love all the songs on "A Charlie Brown Christmas"
