Thank you for this post Victor. This has been something that I have been thinking about lately, I can see how this has taken place in my life and that of my siblings. You said:

If a person experiences developmental gaps or underdevelopment of a stage all the others that follow will not develop properly and these will be affected.

My question is am I screwed at the age of 35? Is there any way to work through these stages later in life? I have only been out of the WT world for a few months and am having trouble making the transition to the real world.

If anyone has any tips that can help with making this transition, I feel it might be less probable that I would return to the WT. The DB helps somewhat, but I can't spend my life in front of a computer.

: Jehovah has a perfect track record, EVERYTHING he says is going to happen...

Baloney. What does a kidnapper do when he is paid a ransom? He releases his captive immediately. Ransom paid. Victim released.

God was paid HIS ransom 2 THOUSAND years ago. He still has his six BILLION captives and hasn't and won't release them. He lied.

You believe a bunch of total bullshit and all you can do is try to make excuses for a Biblegod who's lied to you.

Victor, can you tell us what some therapies are for such developmental problems? My impression is that realistically, there isn't a whole lot you can do about it, practically speaking.. I mean sure, you can go into therapy but unfortunately it takes a lot of time and I can't see there ever being enough therapists to cover all those people out there. (of course I'm including non-JWs) I'd like to think we can come up with some creative solutions, frankly the world as a whole would seem pretty screwed if nothing can be done..

Go back to the watchtower? You would have to have never believed it was false,..or...you know it is false but you want to go back because you cannot learn to function without it. Loss of family, friends, religion dosen't do the trick.
To belong to something makes you feel special , and so you go back as you can't find anything that makes you feel better.
To go back to an organization that has effected the lives of thousands with things such as, false prophecy, medical blunders that have cost the lives of an unknown amount, vaccinations, organ transplants, blood policy changes, suicides by the broken hearted who were expelled and lost family only because their consciences wouldn't allow them to believe the..."truth"........any longer. One would have to be emotionally weak to return to a group run by a bunch of senile old bastard's who don't even have the decency to say 'we are sorry" we have been wrong and hurt many"
