I got up this morning and turned the thermostat up and the furnace wouldn't light. So far I haven't been able to fix it. The gas won't come on to light it.

I went out to my car and the back right floor board was full of water, it rained all night and it must have a leak..

I'm afraid to check anything else. On a good note, I did wake up this morning.

Well Ken, I hope things start to look up for you, and soon.

Let's hope that you have got all the bad luck out of the way already.

Check to see if you have gas.

Check to see if you have power.

    Are all the switches on?

Is the blower door on properly.

    Is it a pilot light?

    Is the pilot lit?

    Is it intermitent spark?

    Is it sparking?

Turn power off and back on to reset any lock out.

    Is it hot surface ignition?

Do you see any orange glow?

Is there 24 volts at the gas valve?

It could have been worse...at least your cars floor is solid enough to HOLD water. I once had a car which had so much rust on the floor that water would have ran out as fast as it could rain in. And you COULD have had a gas LEAK instead of NO GAS, and you might have wakened to a fire, or perhaps not have wakened at all. A day above ground beats a day 6 feet below...

Here are the lyrics to a song called "Generic Blues", by Weird Al Yankovic. This guy has it MUCH worse than anyone I've ever met. For the full effect, imagine it being sung to the best blues riff you've ever heard, accompanied by harmonica and electric guitar. I woke up this morning Then I went back to bed Said I woke up this morning Then I went right back to bed Got a funny kind of feelin' like I got broken glass in my underwear And a herd of wild pigs is trying to chew off my head You know what I'm sayin' Well I ain't got not money I'm just walkin' down the road Said I ain't got no money, honey So I'm just walking down this lonely old road Well, I wish I could get me some money But I forgot my automated teller code I was born in a paper sack in the bottom of a sewer I had to eat dirt clods for breakfast, my family was so poor My daddy was a waitress, my mama sold bathroom tiles My brothers and sisters all hated me 'cause I was an only child I got the blues so bad, woo Kinda wish I was dead Maybe I'll blow my brains out mama Or maybe I'll, yeah maybe I'll just go bowlin' instead I'm just a no good, scum sucking, nose picking, boot licking, sniveling, groveling, worthless hunk of slime Nothing but a low-down beer bellied, bone headed, pigeon toed, turkey necked, weasle faced, worthless hunk of slime Guess I pretty low self image Maybe it's a chemical imbalance or something -- I should probably go and see a doctor about it when I've got the time (Guitar Solo)Make it talk (More Guitar Solo)Aw, make it talk, son, make it talk OK, now make it shut up(Guitar Solo stops) Plagues and famine and pestilence always seem to get me down I always feel so miserable whenever I'm around I wish somebody would come along, stick a pitchfork through my brain I'd flush myself right down the toilet, but I'd just clog up the drain I got the blues so bad Kinda wish I was dead Maybe I'll blow my brains out mama Or maybe I'll go bowling Or I just might go bowling Maybe I'll just rent some shoes and go bowling Maybe I'll join a league, enter a tournament, put on a stupid looking shirt and go bowling instead Yeah

    Ken;

As long as you keep hearing this, it's a plus.

Thanks woodman, I have checked most of those things but not the gas valve to see if it has 24 volts. I have replaced the circuit board once before with the same problem of not lighting.
