Ignoring people is a JW necessity. We were trained to ignore persons that didn't agree with us.

too true lol, in begining I thought there was something wrong with me for not being able to follow many of those things. But in a very short period of time I've started seeing that none of that was, what's the word, oh yes, NORMAL!

    Dear Blondie,

Phoney baloney gum chewing, and moon boots? How did you sleep at night? I'm surprised they didn't send you to the Island of Misfit Toys.

It did drive them nuts though, Dismembered.

Passive-aggressive is the JW sister's way to fight.

The WTS does even have the word in their publications.

I remember when I was a young brash elder and I gave a talk on the evils of gum chewing in the Kingdom Hall and this one guy would chew Aspirgum just to piss the elders off! GOOD 4 HIM!

I have a smile on now that I no longer buy the crap that is told there... Everything was so SERIOUS all the time when I actually believed it - now it's just fun to kick back and watch my own "freak show" I completely ignore everything - I hardly ever go out in service, I fudge my field service time with no guilt, and I even coach my son's sports teams (which he should not be playing according to the "rules") but they can all go pound sand.

I wore a dress that was slightly above my knees to a district convention, does that qualify?

Gee, so nice to know that the latest QFR addresses how wrong it is to drink a toast. My youngest son is getting married January 20 (youngest of three - first one married) (in a Presbyterian church, no less) and all my JW relatives are coming - at least to the reception, I'm not sure if they are up for a church wedding. I am sure there will be toasts drunk that evening. Gee, what do I do here? I've not been to meetings since July or so and they all know I no longer believe. Gee, I think I may have to do WHATEVER I WANT - HA, HA, HA!!!!!
