Everlasting love by U2, Forever by Ben Harper (love this one), By my side by Inxs, Expresso Love by Dire Straits, Somebody To Love by Queen and my favorite Layla by Eric Clapton

Ok, I was thinking of the same song, "Look at us" and don't think it will get you kicked out. . .people are progressive nowadays, and the sentiment is gorgeous. Charlie Pride was a black country singer. . .so why can't black people listen to country? My back up suggestion; Always and Forever-Luther Vandross. Not sure if he's black, but its not country and its a beautiful song. And if he is black, I hope it won't lose me my 'white card'. I'm being obnoxious, sorry- I am argumentative tonite, here's the lyrics again (listen to the ballad, its got a wonderful lingering romantic tone)
Look at us
After all these years together
Look at us
After all that we've been through
Look at us
Still leaning on each other
If you wanna see
How true love should be
Then just look at us
Look at you
Still pretty as a picture
Look at me
Still crazy over you
Look at us
Still believin' in forever
If you wanna see
How true love should be
Then just look at us
In a hundred years from now
I know without a doubt
They'll all look back
And wonder how
We made it all work out
Chances are
We'll go down in history
When they wanna see
How true love should be
They'll just look at us
Chances are
We'll go down in history
When they wanna see
How true love should be
They'll just look at us
When they wanna see
How true love should be
They'll just look at us

The Author of the Thread said: "NanaR - While I absolutely love the lyrics of the song, if I used that one they'd permanently take away my "black card" and kick me out of the race."
You guys have a card? I don't have a card. Do the Asians get a card? Just another reason why is sucks to be white. -

Congratulations on your 25th anniversary. Not a lot of couples make it that far these days..It will be 29 years for us this May. You mentioned "The closer I get to you" That was our first song we danced to out our wedding.
The perfect song for me now is.. "How do I live" by Trisha Yearwood.

Hey how about Billy Idol's "Nice Day for a White Wedding?"
Would they take your black card for that? -
Nellie
Confused - you're a hoot ! Yes, we actually have black cards - just ask Tiger Woods and Condolesa Rice - they lost theirs!! LOL (And we tried taking away OJ's, but Johnny Cockran wouldn't let us.)
Daughter - not sure if Luther Vandross is black? Hmmm... yeah, he is - or rather was - since he died last year. But he didn't make that song - it was a group called Heatwave. I've always regretted NOT using that song at our wedding - the song we used was "The Best is Yet to Come" - beautiful song, but nobody knows it.
Thanks for the suggestions all - I'll let you know what I decide on.

How about "Have I Told You Lately That I Love You" by Rod Stewart?
