Read some books on this card game, played some home texas hold ' em. Watched them on tv. The new Bond movie Casinoe Royale has a great texas hold ' em game in it. I'm getting caught up with the game. Do you play?

Yes love the game. I also like watching it on TV. I liked a show sometime back where they had celebs playing. Hollywood Poker was it called? The winnings went to charity.
I haven't seen Casino Royale yet but it's interesting Bond is playing poker. In the original book he was playing Baccarat all the time.

I play.
We have Hold 'Em parties once or twice a month. Usually have 6-16 people playing, $5 buy-in for about $15K in chips, re-buys are $5 for about $8-10K. You have to be under $1K to re-buy and once the blinds hit a certain level, we stop the re-buys.
Second place gets $10, winner gets the rest...unless it's a pretty big pot, then we split 70-30.

For my birthday last Sept. my wife gave me a fancy Texas Hold 'em kit in its own case, cards, chips, table felt, book. I haven't even opened it yet, but I am starting to think it might be fun.

People think this is weird.
