I just got an email with a recording attached about how supposedly the preaching work has been fullfilled. The speaker mentions that the 3 countries which don't have witnesses are Somalia, North Korea, and Afghnaistan. The reason why, accoding to the speaker, is because Jehovah will not send anyone to any environment where they will be killed... WTF?????
I'll try to post the recording here later on tonight.

(banned) - North Korea, Afghanistan and Yugoslavia.Really? Tell that to the 2+ Billion Chinese and Indians who only have a 'witness allotment' of a few hundred. I doubt most Indians have ever heard of Jehovah's Witnesses, and a few might have glimpsed them across a marketplace somewhere. Hogwash must be cheap!

All I can say is the letter is unsurprisingly and boringly MOTS (more of the same) from the crew who specialise in dulling people's ability to think in a reasonable and informed manner

You guys shouldn't worry about the people living in China, India, North Korea, Afghanistan, and the former Yugoslavia area. When the time is right, Watchtower will load up large cargo planes and drop literature from the sky. It will rain tracts for days and then the end will come. For it is written, "And look, an angel will sound a trumpet and the sky will become dark with Watchtower rubbish."

BTW, how long ago was this email? Yugoslavia hasn't existed for several years; it's Bosnia, Sebvia, Montenegro, Moldavia, etc.
Excellent point Blondie! The letter is two days old. Yet another example of the R and F swallowing every statement of the Governing Body with no investigation. I'm sure if I e-mailed her to point out her Societies geographical error she would accuse me of furthering some evil geo-political apostate conspiracy to make entire countries disappear.

I am 100% convinced that the WT is not God's chosen people.... And yet, I still get that fear. And I can talk myself through it, and it goes away. But it just surprises me every time how deeply the brainwashing goes. Fear (among other things) kept me in for so long... I have nothing to be afraid of now, but reading an email like that one still scares me at first.
Yeah, I know what you mean. I actually get physical symptoms sometimes. My therapist says that I was conditioned to remain in the center of their circle, and if I approach the edge, I am conditioned to feel anxiety. It works either way, whether you are coming from the inside on the way out, or being completely outside of the circle and yet approaching its edge.
The thing is with me, though, is that most of what I feel is anger. Anger at having been suckered in to this crap for so long. Anger that significant members of my family have been victimized by this cult and will probably try to haunt me with it for the rest of their lives.
