I'm so glad you might be stopping by again. One thing I truly believe is that the truth will stand up amongst BS and lies. You can't forget the truth that you have learned by reading something on the internet. In time, you will see it's not correct. Conversely, if you have believed something that is not quite right, you will see that in time too.

This is a place of emotional healing for many, myself included. I'm a bit weird, but not a freak. I think we can all relate to one another.

Hi Heron! Welcome to JWD!

I was raised a JW, pioneered straight out of high school, married a JW, and had two kids... My husband is still very active, he's an elder, but my kids have decided not to be JWs once they are grown. I hope with all my heart that's the case... They know it's not 'the truth', and the only reason they'd stay is for friends and family.

I come here a lot, for moral support and to know that I'm not alone. This place makes me laugh, feel 'normal' again, and is free therapy! My kids think I'm obsessed, but for a long time, JWD was what kept me sane (although my sanity is debatable at times.. LOL!)

You will find wonderful lovely people here like your dear hubby. It is place where you can be honest about your feelings and thoughts with people who probably have felt the same things.

Unless one has experienced life as a JW they can not relate to what most of us have been through. It is nice to come here and know that that one part of your life has been shared with so many others.

There are great minds here too! Great thinkers and researchers who share their knowledge with us. Plus there is no place else you can go to get Watchtower related information.

Hello Heron. Your husband wants us to assure you that we aren't all freaks and. . .weirdos. We aren't all freaks and weirdos, but there are a FEW. They treat us pretty good, even if we are in the minority here :) Hope you have fun while browsing here and learn something new. I do every time I am online (a lot lately-we have been hemmed in by weather for weeks now).

I am 40, out since I was 15, occasionally get my knickers in a twist about the WT and spend time on a board such as this one. Then I get it out of my system. I have 3 kids, married, female, mostly a stay home mom.
