Ermm, no. That kind of behaviour would generally be found in the Charismatic branch of the church, whereas this is a study course in Christianity that can be used by any denomination. The issue tends to be the paradigm shift involved in considering the Holy Spirit to be a person instead of an extension of God (like His todger, or something). That's not to say that some Charismatic churches haven't taken the course and adapted it to their own pecular beliefs, but that would not be in the majority.

Alphastarted in Holy Trinity Brompton, which is an Anglican church, and was revised by Nicky Gumbel in the 90s. While its used worldwide I believe it is most widespread in Anglican groups.Christianity Explored started in All Souls Langham Place, which is also Anglican, by Rico Tice and Barry Cooper and obviously influenced by John Stott (Rector Emeritus). While this is also used worldwide it has some catching up to do, and tends to find more favour with Presbyterians than Alpha.
