We had a CO who thought it was funny to wear a Sheriff badge like the one above. Did he realize it was modeled after this?
Pentagrams have long since been symbols of protection and that is why they evolved into Sheriff badges. I love thinking about this, as this CO is probably still wearing this pentagram to congregations and does not have a clue.
Did you ever have something like this happen in your congregation?
It would never occur to me to be stumbled by such a thing. If others are. . .too bad. They are two faced about enough things, lets not borrow trouble for these poor deluded souls.
I think it is funny though. Here is a religion who wont even do a toast for fear of Pagan connections with demons and yet they will wear the most known Pagan symbol out their in ignorance. I have these symbols all over the place, although I am Pagan now.
Why would a grown man wear that to the kingdom hall? I think it's silly due to the fact that his religion discourages its members from becoming police officers.
I think this is funny, firstly, because of the adolescent attitude it suggests that the co has. Secondly, he may think of himself as a spiritual sheriff. Thirdly, if the pentagram/protection thing is true, that's over the top. If their idea of demons were true, they'ld be all over that co like his cheap suit.

What is his name? I think I know him, but I can't think of his name. He has a huge collection of sheriff badges and picks up more everywhere he goes. For a CO, he was a nice one.
