    Sue,

Thats a great idea! Thanks very much. I am going to do just that. He won't know where it is coming from anyway and I was thinking I will tell him I am a concerned "sister". Which is not lying since I am a Christian sister, just not his anymore. And I am concerned. LOL. Lilly

Lots of kids have to deal with sick crap growing up. Trust me, when this kid is in his teens things will change. They changed for me. When I was big enough to block my moms slapping hand and she hurt her wrist, things changed. And now I am just another happy skeptic like many of you! I love my quest for real truth, as do many of you. My mother is still strict JW.

We weren't even allowed to play with half the witness kids in the congregation because they were "worldly witnesses" who didn't go in service enough, or wore "wild" clothes, or weren't publishers by the time they were 10 or because they listened to rock music or they were too competitve. It made for a lousy and lonely childhood. However, my parents started coming around a bit when I was in my teens. In fact, one of our local elders who had a son my age told my mom she was being too hard on me..at that point I quit getting whoopings, started getting an allowance and was even allowed to meet non witness classmates at football games as long as I came home as soon as the game was over..and, btw, I was a regular pioneer at the time

My take is if she isn't going to listen to her friend, I doubt she's going to listen to an anonymous letter. But maybe it would make you feel better.

I think it shows just how dangerous JWs are. I remember at our old KH, a child of two was forced to stare at the speaker for the whole meeting ( a child of two hardly has an attention span to do this- and certainly can't understand - maybe that's for the best ) and every time he so much as turned his head, they would place their hands on his head and turn it around to face the speaker. i believe it is possible Child abuse to raise a child a JW.

It reminds me of John 7:49 the Pharisees speaking " Those people who do not know the law are an accursed people".

In fact, the words spoken by Jesus to the Pharisees seem to fit JWs perfectly. Still the truth though.

Jehovahs Witnesses act more and more like the Pharisees every day.

This seems pretty weird to me. Most witnesses I hear of in my country are not raised that way. I was not raised in such an extreme way either....
