Doesnt it make you mad to get shunned by JW's that barely made the meetings?? To get shunned by JW's that you used to go encourage. By JW's that always led double lives. Do they not see the hypocrisy! Has this happened to you?
Getting shunned by JW's that were always WEAK makes me so mad

Dude.. yes. I knew these guys were never even true believers and they still shun. Or just remembering their incredibly hypocritical behavior. It doesn't make me mad anymore because it truly is a tragically funny existence. These days I can't help but laugh.

When we were dubs we remodeled our house. There was a dub in our congo who had his own plumbing biz. We had used him a few times to repair plumbing and he was likeable. As a dub, however, he was a dud - missed a lot of meetings, divorced his wife, married some whack job sister he hardly knew and they had all sorts of problems, all his kids ran away, made every wrong life choice you can make, just a mess. Good plumber, though!
Anyway, we supported him during rough times, helped with the kids, had him and his new wife over for dinner, did our best to "encourage" them. We also hired him to the plumbing chores on our major remodel. He came a'runnin' every time my wife would call him.
Then we stopped going to meetings. Never DF'd or DA'd, not visibly apostate, just a typical fade.
About a year goes by. We needed a plumber for something. Called, left three different messages in four days. No response. Then we ran into a dub we know, who is always happy to talk to us, and who knows this plumber. My wife tells him we've been trying to get the plumber to do some work and wonders if he's on vacation or sick or something. No, the dub says, I've seen him a couple of times this week, he's been around. She expresses surprise that he didn't return her call. Well, the dub says, apparently he just doesn't want to talk to you.

I've found this to be true. I've been very severely shunned by two of the weakest Witnesses in my old congregation. It's really funny. One is a divorced JW whose marriage felt apart due to his porn viewing, among other things, and the other is a kind of whackjob who has had all sorts of personal issues.
It is so strange. And as in the case of Willyloman, these are both people I really went out of the way to help when I was a JW.
Go figure!

Panic:
It is quite possible that these "weak" JWs are trying to over-compensate for their weakness by shunning. Think about it. They have to "try harder" than the rest to prove they are "loyal" [yuck].
I noticed a similar mentality among those who were reinstated after being DF'd. They felt they had to prove something to everybody so they became super-righteous and super-judgmental.
Insecurity makes people try harder about anything - whether it is brown-nosing on a job or even appearing to do the "right" thing at the hall. Pathetic.

LOL. Yeah I've had that too. I've had a few funny times when they recognized me in town and start talking to me not realizing I'm DF'ed cos they're out of the info loop in the congs as they miss most meetings. When they asked what I was doing now I tell them I was DF'ed (actually DA'ed) and am now an apostate. The look on their face is like the guy off that Cronenberg film Scanners before his head blows up. They're probably trying to remember the current DF rules and whether if they say another word to me they'll get struck down while simultaneously thinking of an excuse to get away and how not to seem too rude in doing so.

I guess they finally found a Watchtower decree they can carry out successfully.

LongHairGal put her finger right on it. I once started a topic here on the same subject, the weakest are really the strongest when it comes to shunning, refusing blood transfusions for themselves or children, draft punishment, etc. But when it comes to field service, Theo. Ministry School, conducting BS or even answering a question in a study, they are not involved. "YUCK" is the word.

Yeah, we've been shunned recently by a guy who, even when Trev was in was never a regular attender, never joined the tms and only went on the ministry with his wife on her calls. He hadn't changed when I left, but turned his back on us when he saw us. As another poster said, it's one thing they can do without too much effort, even if they fall short in everything else in their jw lives.

Hahahahaha....
Yes indeed Panic!!!
People shun me that i KNOW for a fact have engaged in sexual misconduct and not reported it. Yet they walk around with their noses aloft.
These people are mentally ill. There is no other explanation IMO. Truly sick in the head.
Yes they are victims of mind control but such outright and disgusting hypocrisy is one for the 'freak board'.
Peace
