I would say that just about anyone who was used for an experience had it added to, parts deleted, adapted, misled people on purpose. I can remember seeing a family show how to have a family study and I know they never had had a family study.

I had a part on the Young People Ask book. I was a HOMESCHOOLED kid that gave "my" experience in avoiding pre-marital sex and peer pressure IN SCHOOL......I never even concidered that LYING was part of the program...I thought of it as ACTING back then.
Let's see.....We had the self righteous family, (you know, every congregation has at least one), who got up on the stage during one of the circuit assemblies, and proceeded to tell everyone on how they take care of their elderly mother, and balance Field Service, Meetings, preperations, and so forth). They gave everyone the impression that they took care of this poor old woman until she died. I already knew the truth on how they REALLY treated her from an outside source. What they didn't tell everyone is how they mistreated this old woman, and then put her in a nursing home and rarely visited her. Hearing them go on about how they took care of her on stage, and the love bombing after the session just made me sick.
Just remembered another one. This had to be back around the mid 1980's when the WT said not to go to proms. They had the usual 3 or 4 teenagers/young adults up on the stage. One girl in particular was telling of her prom experience, and how there was drinking in the limo. Then, almost as an afterthought, she said that there was sexual immorality. It just sounded so fake and obvious that she was just lying. I just remember her words....."sexual immorality"...I said loud enough to be overheard by a couple of rows...."what a crock of sh*t!". Got a few looks from that one.
A few years ago at Circuit Assembly it was a JW family on the platform from my congregation - Elder Father, Mother, 2 sons (one a Min Serv), 2 daughters.
Going on about how a wonderful perfect JW family they were. They always thought they were "it" in the congregation.
Trouble is they didn't know that some of us the congregation knew the real truth.
Elder father - secret smoker, usually did it at work. But was caught out last year and DF'd. And that was only because another elder kicked up a fuss because his son had been DF'd for smoking, but they were only going to privately reprove the Elder.
Mother - typical "elders wife" must have kept the makers of Valium and Prozac going. Always denied she ever took anying. She was the most miserable woman I have known.
First son - Min Servant. On the afternoon, before the evening he was announced as a MS he had been caught in bed with a JW sister both smoking cannabis. By his younger brother who told my son at school the next day. His field service consisted of calling at one door then driving round for an hour,. My son had done this a couple of times with him. I believe he ran off with some girl and got married in Las Vegas. Still a JW when last I heard.
Second son - - foul-mouthed lout but only when he was in school or or not in JW environment. You wouldn't trust him with any information or let him hear you talk about the WT. It would get back to his father.
First daughter - bitchy. If she could get others into trouble she would. Ended up getting pregnant by JW brother, and having to marry, now divorced. They only got reproved for it.
Second daughter - similar to the first. Cross her and she made sure you got paid back. But was discovered to be having sex with a JW brother, in fact it was later learnt she had been round a few brothers.
As far as I last heard they still considered themselves JW's.
It boggles the mind how I believed any of their lies. They distort things for the Watchtower, they distort things for the year books, they outright lie in most assembly "experiences". I think Jehovah's Witnesses, as individuals as well as as an organization, are the worst bunch of hypocritical liars I know of.
Back in my early innocent days as a new dub, I used to wonder how it was that I didn't know any people like the paragons of virtue, humility and integrity that were paraded before us at the assemblies. All the people I knew in my congregation were mere human beings who made all kinds of mistakes and had personality flaws...were we an especially crummy group of JWs? Wow. Depressing.
Well, the light finally dawned when a sis that I knew pretty well...from our apparently rotten congregation...got up on stage and told "her" story of selfless parenting and the brilliant organizational and budgeting skills she employed in order to auxillary pioneer as a single parent. What a whitewash job! Pretty funny really. What? Did they forget that we knew her? I guess so. Sounded good to the other congos though I guess. And the WTS decries people who belong to the terrible religions of Christendom, who are only looking to get their ears "tickled".
In the churches these experiences are called 'Preacher's stories'. No one believed them, but it was good entertainment. In the JW Assemblies these were stories on 'How we wish it was' but know it isn't.
It's the same as 'Questions From Readers' in THE WATCHTOWER magazine. No one except biggie's in Bethel wrote them questions and all to manipulate the flock in what ever information they felt they needed.

I feel sorry for these folks....
There was an elders wife that we knew well for years. She was on the cover of an Awake in the mid 80's for surviving hemoraging during childbirth. So she was being used to tout the glories of the hyperbaric chamber that they put her in to save her life when she nearly bled to death.
What the Awake didn't say was that when she was in her prime childbearing years it was pre 1975 and she had to set an example for the other loser women like my sister who dared to have children.
Armageddon was coming and woe to those suckling child in those days. They put my sister down for it big time. This lady really was sweet and loved babies so much. She made sure that they did not get pregnant. Her husband was a fanatic sex cop elder too. He was a wretched sick man.
They changed their mind and 10 years later she has a baby but the Awake never said why she had problems. Who knows how old she was by the time she finally decided it was safe to have a baby.
What experience didn't sound a little slanted? They had to be to make us think that god's hand was in the pie. I remember how disillusioned I was when I was told about people being asked to read scripted experiences..or young people saying they had given up violent entertainment when I had been playing duke nukem with them the week before. The worst ones were the ones that were repeated year after year, I just had to wonder if nothing new and miraculous had happened that we were forced to relieve old experiences over and over again like that.
