Hang in there and make sure that you send him cards and letters. They will probably get thrown away; but, eventually he will be old enough to pickup the mail himself and then he will know you care and may decide he wants to know you.
It worked for my wife and I, the two granddaughters the we were not allowed to see for their first 9 years and only saw 3 times in the next 9 years are now closer to us than their parents.

Congratulations on the baby grandson. I THINK that this qualifies as 'family business' and your kids should have told you. Somedays I dislike that rotten stinking religion, and others, like today, right now, I HATE it.
Grandpas are the greatest. My dad loved my kids as much as anyone could-and even when he was suffering the last stages of painful cancer he would have my one year old climb all over him in the hospital bed and let him chew on his watch. My mom has kept the watch for Brendan when he grows up. Just a timex or something-but thats not the point. Grandpas are too precious to waste with neglect. I hope your kids get a big clue real soon about what they are discarding for their servitude to the society.

I would like to thank all of you for your warm, heartfelt wishes, and advice. I currently have 4 grandchildren, none of which I see. I do however, send Birthday/not-a-birthday cards, Christmas/not-a-Christmas cards, Easter/not-an-Easter card, to each of them religiously. I also send anniversary cards etc., to my daughter and son-in-law without fail. I always include gifts for each of these occasions. I can only hope that one, or all of them, someday see the hypocrasy of the watchliar society, and remember that I love them all. Pehaps then, we can have a "normal" relationship. Until then, I can sleep well each night, knowing that I am doing the best I can under the circumstances.
On a side note, Mrs Stealth was never a jw, but studied for a short time about 20 years ago. For someone with limited experience and exposure to the sociopathic mentality of the dubs, she has been ever supportive of my quest to be free.
After 20 years of marriage, I love her more than the day we met. "Thanks Mommy".
Perhaps someday, I can convince her to join us here, but as she is in law school right now (at age 45), that may have to wait for a while.
Again, thank you all for your support, love and encouragement.
Sincerely, Stealth
