I understand only the supposedly annointed are to partake of the sacrament during the memorial right? However, I 'd like to know if the plate is passed around to everyone? What if a visitor decides to partake of The Lords Flesh and Blood? Will they be bumrushed? Tackled? Or what is the worst that can happen?

Yes they pass the plate to all even though only the "annointed" partake, they don't tackle or do anything to one who partakes except count them as far as I know, I have never been at a Memorial when someone partakes except when we started doing our own Memorial, when all partake in line with Christ's words at John 6:48-53

48 “I am the bread of life. 49 Y OUR forefathers ate the manna in the wilderness and yet died. 50 This is the bread that comes down from heaven, so that anyone may eat of it and not die. 51 I am the living bread that came down from heaven; if anyone eats of this bread he will live forever; and, for a fact, the bread that I shall give is my flesh in behalf of the life of the world.” 52 Therefore the Jews began contending with one another, saying: “How can this man give us his flesh to eat?” 53 Accordingly Jesus said to them: “Most truly I say to YOU , Unless YOU eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, YOU have no life in yourselves

It scares me to think of all who don't partake and think of the Jesus words at

Matt 23:13 “Woe to YOU , scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because YOU shut up the kingdom of the heavens before men; for YOU yourselves do not go in, neither do YOU permit those on their way in to go in.

From what I can see from the scriptures we NEED to partake to have God's blessings and have faith in that sacrifice. I prefer to believe Christ's words over men!!

If you do that evetteto, I doubt anyone will say anything to you, but they will be staring at you, and definitely talking about you.

If a Christian could stomach the blasphemies before the actual passing of the emblems, I think it is an excellent idea to go and partake if you are a Christian. Just might start a trend.

I've attended many "memorials" and I've got to tell you, it is a terrible, scary thing to watch people intentionally not painting the body and blood of my Lord on their hearts, as He is my Passover and my only hope of escaping the Wrath of God.

It's hard for me to stay in the room and to let the body and blood pass through my hands! I can understand why some may want to partake.

Do you think this falls into the 1Corinthians 8 Teaching? Would it offend you if I ate?

    1Corinthians 8:4

Then concerning the eating of the things sacrificed to idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is no other God except one. 5 For though there are those who are called gods, whether in Heaven or in earth (as there are many gods and many lords), 6 but there is to us only one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in Him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and we by Him. 7 But this knowledge is not in all. But some being aware of the idol eat as an idolatrous sacrifice until now, and their conscience being weak is defiled. 8 But food does not commend us to God. For neither if we eat are we the better, nor if we do not eat are we the worse. 9 But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours becomes a stumbling block to those who are weak. 10For if anyone sees you who have knowledge sitting in an idol temple, will not the weak one's conscience be lifted up so as to eat things sacrificed to idols?11 And on your knowledge the weak brother will fall, he for whom Christ died. 12 And sinning in this way against your brothers, and wounding their conscience, being weak, you sin against Christ. 13Therefore, if food offends my brother, I will eat no flesh forever, that I do not offend my brother.

I could go either way on this one. I believe verse 13 is the most important! (I won't eat if it offends you Grace) The problem here is the fact that verse 7 may be seen in this case in reverse or like this: But some being (NOT) aware of the idol eat (NOT) as an idolatrous sacrifice until now, ...

In other words its the not eating that goes along with the idolaters, but you could say that we play into their hands either way.

I know of some people, that we both love, that do partake, and I'm not offended, in fact I can see how it could be used as a witness. As of today I have not partaken, but the thought has crossed my mind.
