Our illustrious CO speaks from the platform. He tells us that...

...the internet has information that can seriously harm our faith

Now the question arises, keeping in mind that he didn't say "false information", how can "information" damage our faith?

Truth equals truth. If our faith is "truth", then the "truth" we might find on the iNet could only agree with "our faith".

If the iNet presents information that can "seriously harm our faith", then either the information is NOT truth, or "our faith" is not truth.

If the information is false, then our "truth" is unharmed by it. But if the information is truth, then our faith is false.

Will knowing about the Watchtower's adultry with the UN cause us to lose faith in God? ...or rather will it cause us to lose faith in MEN?

If our faith is in God, then no information could harm it, and the Scriptures promise that. The Scriptures say that "Satan has demanded that you men be sifted as wheat"...

Does the Watchtower think that they can build a hedge around the r&f in order to prevent that which God has decreed to happen?

Even if the information was false, then what about the garden of Eden. Did God stop Satan from tempting Eve? .. or later Jesus?

If the "truth"-information harms your faith, then your faith is IN MEN.

Yes, the Wt is afraid the rank and file may stumble on the real truths about their organization!
So they demonize the internet causing many to be afraid of it.
It's sad because we know who's minds are really blinded.

"CATHOLIC puppies free to a good home!"
There was a small boy outside of the local grocery store that had a cardboard box containing new born puppies. The sign on the side of the box read "CATHOLIC puppies free to a good home!". The local priest walked by and smiled.

One week later the priest walked by the same boy outside of the grocery store and was surprised when he saw the cardboard box containing the puppies now sporting a new sign that read "JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES puppies free to a good home!"

The priest asked the boy why he had changed the sign from reading "Catholic puppies" to the one now reading "Jehovah's Witnesses puppies". "Well you see", the boy answered, "that is because now the puppies have their eyes open!".

I have now changed it. You can guess for yourself what the sign reads now. Yep, the Apostate puppies have their eyes open. I don't consider myself to be an apostate but that is what I have been called.

My eyes have truly been opened thanks to my now having access to the internet and forums such as this one where I can obtain information and do research.

That really says it all, the part about 'mom'. Know this, she is doing herself more harm than you. Be there for her, Lisa. The JW world is going to crumble like the WTC did and it's already begun. I pray that God touches your life as He did mine.

This same old line has been used against the r and f for years. We could only use society publications or those few approved outside resources for referance. If you wanted to know what Mormons believed then you couldnt read the book of Mormon, you had to find out from the society what the Mormons believed. (I always wondered who read the book to find out to tell us.)
If the "truth" is the truth then a few words to the contrary shouldn't decieve us, but rather strengthen our belief. Of course this is easier to see in retrospect.

I had no interest in the WTBS for 10 years now but I decided to look them up on the net and see what they were up to and I was suprised to find that their website was VERY limited. The WTBS has always bragged about their use of technology. Whats more is that there are many XJW sites easily found by search. I think they should be very concerned about the flock having such easy access to this "dangerous" info.

At an assembly early this year, a speaker from Bethel spent several minutes condemning the iNet, how it's all false, how Satan's using it as a new tool, how propanganda and lies are been said about Witnesses there, bla bla bla... Just couldn't help thinking they were hiding something. They were afraid. But the needn't anymore, their cover's blown... The wacthtower's crumbling, like a house of cards.
