I was just curious-did any of you on this forum know each other while you were both still active J-Dubs? I mean as friends or acquaintences that you only knew as JWs, not family members. Were you in the same congregation together? Have any of you reunited with people who were your former JW friends through this forum?

I was friends with AlmostAtheist, we were both registered literature peddlers at the Canal Winchester Ohio congregation in the late 90's.

Yes. In the same congregation.

We both became Christians after we escaped and are members of the same church giving a real good witness about the troof.

I shared this site with a good friend after I confessed to her that I was no longer going to meetings, etc. She joined, but doesn't come here as frequently as I do.

Lets see....I used to be in the same cong as Lady Liberty and Black Pearl, and just recently found out I know Mavie!!! That was pretty weird.

ya for sure. GetBusyLiving and i hung out a few times when we were still in. i went with him and a bud to see mighty mouse in calgary. i wasn't going to stay on this board way back in the beginning actually, but thought i would drop in and make a few posts. then i saw GBL's face in his avatar. and i didn't even know that he had DA'd cus my meeting attendance had been so "poor". lol. we still hang out. he had a great birthday party last firday night.

new boy (we were at Bethel together), AlanF (he and I and our families go back a fair bit; he told me about JWD), songmistress (she doesn't post here anymore, afaik)...I think that's it.

Have met and/or talked to several dozen JWDers over the years...most are really cool and honest folks.

I've met several posters in real life and talked to one of them on the phone.

I've met a couple of people who know people that I knew when I was 'in'.

The only person I knew when we were both still in was 'outnfree'. This was back in the 70's~~! She studied with my friends parents and her sister studied with my parents. That was back in NJ. Now she's in Michigan, I'm in California and we met up on JWD.
