That was amazing!! I sent this one to my children and grandchildren!!

Can u imagine young people like this to be told they should only put on a suit & tie and only go door to door, selling boring mags instead?

I couldn't believe that spinning hand-stand stuff! Incredible.

While I was there, I also noticed this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QDdkFkMUsMA I've never seen anybody hold a head-spin this long!

Dave of the "tried a head spin - once" class

A head spin? I haven't even tried a cart wheel in almost 20 years! I daresay if I did, I'd probably put a dent in something . . . No, I cannot imagine people with this much skill and talent wasting it on the WBTS. Glad people are free to do so many interesting and amazing things! Wish I could be 19 again and learn to do that stuff; don't think my body would let me now.

Sick music, especially when it cuts into the James Brown. Good moves, but I've seen much crazier stuff than that. One time a friend of mine came over with this b-boy tape..can't remember the name of it, but it was a competition in France. The winner was this cat named Lilou. The moves were insane. Maybe I should look for it.

If you guys like b-boying, don't forget to pay homage to the roots. I recommend Beat Street.

They didn't look they were dancing to me. No rhythm just acrobatic moves. It looked more like a cheerleading type of thing instead of dance.

So you don't define it as dance? Well, you've got the choreography, you've got the moves, and it's set to music, what else do you need for it to qualify as dancing?

Or maybe it doesn't fit into your traditional description of dance. Well, fair enough: break dancing isn't traditional. But it does qualify as dance, whether you can dig it or not.

it is acrobatics and dance. I dig both; and I respect both; really enoyed them.

I'm checking to see if Beat Street homages are on You Tube. I'm newly addicted to You Tube. I've just fallen in love with a chick (OMG, I could almost be her mother) - ysabellabrave on youtube. She says she mostly listens to hip hop herself, but she sings all kinds of old fogey stuff (like what I like).

anyhoo, i'm checking out the beat st thing. I really enjoy it.

I guess this is what you were talking about:

It hardly seems possible to actually do that with the human body. truly amazing!

It's been over 20 years since I did any of that stuff, as the craze hit the UK in the mid80s. I used to be a dab-hand at the "double-b*ll*cks Windmill". I never tried a head spin as I saw a video of a guy breaking his neck trying it on carpet

Alas the poor ole bones wouldn't cope with it now.
