Ah lola - way too much emphasis is put on valentines day full stop/period!
I saw quite a few suits on the train with bunches of roses and I really thought they looked like tossers. There's nothing wrong with flowers, but I tend to get annoyed when I am sent any.

Crappy Happy Valentine's Day!!
I am not a fan of the holiday for all the reasons Gill mentioned. I think it is cute for kids to make valentines and all that jazz but its not for me. Plus, my husband hasn't a romantic bone in his body. I guess its a good thing I don't thrive on romance.
I'll vent. My ex wife sent me a happy valentines day text this morning. First we never celebrated valentines day when we were married but now all of a sudden she does and second she's my EX WIFE! I don't know which she likes more, sticking the knife in or twisting it.
PS: It's no coincidence valentines day shares the same initials as venereal disease.

On Foxnews last night, Neil Cavuto interviewed a man who wrote a book about not giving flowers, candy, etc on Valentine's day, why? Many married and single men do not want give under compulsion. There were other reasons. It was an interesting interview. Soooooooo, does that cheer you up?
