Walk away. When arguments about money become hurtful like that, there's nothing you can say to make it better in that moment. Wait 'till emotions calm down before you agree to talk about it again in an intelligent manner.
1) What fool of a man would talk to his wife about finances?
2) What fool of a man would accuse his wife of having IQ?
Walk out of the room. Go to the movies.
He could determine what ever he had to argue over with me on his own.
He would also be remembering/regretting that statement for a while.
Also... I hope I am never with a man that would say something as mean and hateful to me over something so trivial (in the grand scheme of things) as finances.

Yep, agreed. "Let's cool down and talk about this later, 'k?"

Sooo, a double-laughing post, eh? You get your kicks from my misery?? LOL
Actually, Kate and I have never had an argument about finances, and though I may know more "things" about a lot of "things" than she does, she's still a wayyyy smarter person than I am.
