A good friend of mines father died he had terminal cancer. So as I am digging out a suit to wear I realize 2 things. One I have gotten really fat since I stopped going to meeting's and two I think one of the real reasons I stopped going was I hate putting on suit's.

Trying to find a suit that fit reminded me of trying to dress for three meeting nights a week. That stuff was a pain in the arse. I put on one shirt and the sleeves stopped 3 inches above my wrist. WTF did my arms elongate like the frakenstein monster over the last 4 years. And the shoes, when you dont wear dress shoes for a while they get tight...excuse me tight-er.

I think I may have figured out a way the society can boost meeting attendance. Let people wear sweats and khakis to the meeting's, they may have held me for an extra day or two that way.

I was always the group leader so I made sure the sheep were on the right street.

I moved a few months after I DAed and I remember cleaning out my closet and throwing away a dozen dresses. I figured I wouldn't have any need for them and I was right. I kept a few for funerals and such. I then had to wear a dress to a funeral at the end of last year and it reminded me how much I hate it. I think its the pantyhose ...

I don't know. I didn't like going the Hall of course, but I never had a problem dressing up. I still enjoy wearing a suit when I'm going out for dinner, or have something formal to do. I'm just wierd like that I guess..

I kinda like dressing up, too and that's about the only thing that I miss about meetings. I don't have any reason to spiff these days, but that's ok.

After I DAd I put a bunch of dresses etc up on ebay as "Cult Couture" as I had no more need for the Amish-wear. I still have tons of it, so thinking garage sale this spring. Wonder if any JW will stop by and shop...
