Hi All,
I agree that, in general, JWs do not perform community work other than the field ministry. However, that is not true of all JWs. For example, one of my JW friends is participating in this Sunday's "Race for a Cure" walk for breast cancer awareness. No JW strings there...

Thanks for the post, Ranchette, its a good thing to hear how you are finding what "love" and giving means...
After exiting the WT I decided I wanted to contribute to and not solicit people...I've just finished my four year degree in social work...its just amazing how volunteering can help connect you to people, and its such a better feeling than racking up hours to get points with God!(WBTS)
