Yes it has always put a question in my mind. Why the two different classes? Jesus did not teach two different classes of belivers. He taught that there are many different gifts. Hello I'm new to the board.

Hi Eph,
Just wanted to say Welcome to the board!
Sorry, I don't believe in the Bible, Jehovah, or Jesus anymore. Just myth, so I can't be of much help. It's all smelly-stuff to me.

Thankyou for your welcome FreePeace.
Your statement is a little unsettling to me. Even the JW's know that Jesus is a real person and took part in history for real. What has lead you to such drastic conclusions? Hope you don't mind my asking?? Send to my Email if you do not want to post.
Once again thanks for the welcome. -

: Even the JW's know that Jesus is a real person and took part in history for real.
Prove it using an outside verifiable source. Don't try Josephus, either. He never met Jesus. The authors of the Bible books were obviously biased. Name just ONE source by an objective Roman for example who saw Jesus feed 5,000 people with a few pieces of Sashimi and a coupla loaves of Wonderbread. Just ONE will do. Can't do it? Then you have no credible proof.
: What has lead you to such drastic conclusions?
Something you are not able to understand and comprehend: facts.

I'm sorry if what I said is unsettling to you. Frankly, it was unsettling to me too at one time.
If you have been lurking here at all, you will realize that many of us ex-JW's are now Agnostics or Atheists. We have definite reasons for our change of beliefs.
Before you worry about the 144k or other Bible dilemmas, I would suggest you read "The Age of Reason" by Thomas Paine. You can find a link at my website below.
Farkel told me about this 200 year-old book a couple of years ago. It changed my entire belief system about the Bible.
Also, don't let any of us scare you away. Some of us can get quite passionate about things at times, me included.
Please be open minded about things. Anyone who pushes a belief system that is unprovable is usu-ally ripped to shreds on this board.
FARKEL:
Lighten up a little, this is Eph's first post. Give 'em a chance to grow and learn!

Hi Ephesian,
Just wanted to add my welcome!
I too read "The Age of Reason" by Thomas Paine and it changed my view of the bible entirely. Don't read it unless you have a really open mind and are willing to examine all sides of a story. I found it enlightening. Hope to hear more from you in the future.

Passionate, I would have it no other way. That is what drive us, I enjoy being given things to think on. Tryin to find the proper words to say so the idea comes across clear and unconfused. If the people on this board were not passionate it would be a waste of time for the most of us. Looking forward to more topics of dissucion.
