According to the WT, because their are so many myths and legends about Adam and Eve ( names are sometimes changed) from all over the world, it MUST be true. Because there are so many myths and legends in many cultures about a global flood, this must also be true.

Well today I found out that many cultures from around the world, for eg Irak, Iran, Turkey, Serbia, Latin America, Britain and America and many more have a story about Little red riding hood and the wolf, although in some cases the name changes again...............So by the WT logic............it must be true.

Now you may think this is silly or funny but to be honest when I was in the borg I believed even sillier stuff AND I passed it on to the public. What the hell was I thinking

So by using WT reasoning what do you think is true??

Most cultures have some sort of "santa claus" legend. A "reasonable person" would conclude then that it must be true!

    Good topic, Vit'!

Might I suggest reading SeattleNiceGuy's mind? Or perhaps JamesThomas's? Much better reading, I'd wager. :-)

Many civilizations have bowed to something,ie: the sun, moon, rain or animals. How weak does a person have to be to worship something from a book called the bible, written apparently by someone very educated in a time when education didn't exsist? Weak enough to believe it's true I guess.

Here's an excerpt from the January 1st 2008 Watchtower... Of course the public won't have access to this one:

... Not only that, but the wonderfull harmony in the red riding hood account proves that it has divine backing!

And just because it has a talking wolf doesn't mean it's unscientific. Parrots can learn simple sentences, and science has recently discovered that gorrilas can learn sign laungage. So even though some scientists may currently find it impossible for a wolf to talk, as we have seen in the past their opinions are subject to change. Also of note is the fact the we already know for a fact that donkeys and snakes are capable of talking, even though some self rightous scientists claim that those animals can't talk either. Some also wonder if an elderly woman could survive being eaten by a wolf, but as we know Jonah spent three days in a whale and survived.

So since the story is obviously scientifically accurate, has such wonderfull internal harmony and is backed up by similar stories all over the world, we have decided to add it to the biblical canon.
