Along with all the other fine explanations to your questions, I offer that jw's dont want you doing anything but attending meetings, selling literature and recruiting new sales agents. Anything else threatens your focus.

Nothing makes a group more closely knit together - then when they have a common enemy. The common enemy for JW's are the demons. How better to ensure that the threat is always percieved then by enducing Constant Fear. And constant fear they can pretty well transfer to JW-people.

I get so much info from this forum...I'm just amazed....but its all an affirmation that God has his hand on my husband's life....He's been studying and fellowshipping with the 4 the past 8-10 yrs but not baptised. He's always watching the Sci-fi channel and demonic movies and action packed movies. I felt that it is sonething the wtbs wldnt approve.

You are so RIGHT, evetteto! Never mind that half of them are probably watching it in the privacy of their homes, too.

It's not that the WTBTS doesn't approve of spiritism, demonism, and the supernatural, it is Jehovah who disapproves. Ask yourself this, WWJD when it came to watching movies/entertaining ourselves that were mainly about Satan and demons? Would Jesus watch it? Wasn't satan and Jesus enemies? Does Jesus even like satan? The answers are quit obvious when someone reads the Bible. Why would someone WATCH something in a movie to entertain themselves when what is being watched is something that God disapproves of? Of course noone is perfect, but we must draw the line somewhere.

If those with holy spirit can cast out demons then it must be that JWs don't have much spirit.

no such thing as demons and no such thing as jehovah so it doesn't matter a whole lot except maybe to anthropologists. Saw a wonderful bumper sticker today - "who would Jesus bomb?"
