Thanks for sharing. I've never seen Craig's show, and I liked his message. Britney Spears is turning into a slightly less creepy version of Michael Jackson.
This is precisely why I try to stay up long enough each night to hear at least his monologue. I am so bored of the cliched monologues of Leno, Letterman, O'Brien, Kimmel, etc. who just throw together a random series of topical one-liners that don't lead anywhere. Ferguson tells stories, he puts together what could be considered a complete stand-up routine each night that has a loose theme, autobiographical anecdotes, and comedic setups that lead to the big payoff minutes later at the close of the monologue. It's good stuff, and occasionally he says things (like in this video) that make you think rather than merely amuse.
I hope Craig is on the air for a long time to come!
Darn it. I can't get it to work on this computer. It just shows the CBS screen and what looks like it's supposed to be room for a player in the upper left corner. But, no video shows up or plays. Any suggestions?
It's one of my favorite shows! Craig is SO funny! ----and has a conscience!
Great monologue, and sympathetic. I always thought Brittney was an idiot, but I feel sorry for her now. I think she's got a bad case of postpartum depression going on, and I hope she gets help. This just doesn't seem like her former "rich girl partying" that we've all seen before on the cover of every magazine. She acts like she's completely off her nut.
I love Craig Ferguson. Try to catch his show as much as can. Much better humor than the rest of the late night shows. Head and shoulders above the rest!
Here is an interview with him on his Spears monologue:
good clip.
i had a dream a month ago that i was at a district convention sitting in the handicap section next to britney spears. i leaned over and whispered, and asked her if she wanted to go outside and catch some fresh air and smoke a doobie in the middle of the sessions. she said sure, and i remember the sunlight being so bright, and the two of us out on the lawn by the stadium, with the speaker's voice droning on in the distance, smoking a doobie and laughing about the fact that we were at a convention.
not one of those dreams you wake from and go "uh, yes! I GET IT!". i found the inclusion of britney, of all people, a tad bit disturbing. now that she's shaved her head, i'm pretty messed up. LOL.
