They are obviously trying to save money by not calling in a pest control company to deal with the problem. This is unacceptable for premises preparing food for public consumption.

That was a set up. Those rats where somebody’s pets. They were probable let loose in the restaurant by a disgruntled current bethelite.

In the UK they say you are never more than 10ft away from a rat (talking of the furry, four-legged variety only!)
If it's the same in the US, it's not surprising to have this situation - these rats just happened to get spotted and filmed. It doesn't matter how thoroughly you cull the population, it will be quickly replaced.

That clip grossed me out. Apparently the restaurant had just been inspected the day before this news and now the inspector has been 'reassigned'. I'm buying frozen pizza for a while...sigh...and I love the KFC potato bowls....good way to lose some weight I guess. sammieswife.
