I'd love to be a professional Brewer. But would have to own the brewpub so I could brew what I wanted.
What kind of work would you like to do?

Well I'm a carpenter and I love building things. But I noticed a toll construction takes on the body so I'm back in college and majoring in psychology. (Hey Lawrence - great minds think alike)
I don't plan on ever stopping woodworking but I do like intellectual pursuits as well. -

It's always been my career aspiration to be a society wife. So far this has not eventuated. Never fear, dear JWD friends, I am constantly encouraging my husband to better his skills and get promotions. ONE DAY I WILL GET THERE!

Choosing today, I would like to do something like Occupational Therapy. Actually, I am taking some courses right now that either will get me into nursing or get me into a Masters in OT program, not sure which way it will go. An MOT is going to be expensive and will take me about 6 years to recoup the expenses. A 1-year nursing program will pay off quickly and should combine with the bachelors degree I already have (human services) to be even more marketable.
Anyway... an OT problem solves with practical living issues, customized to the individual. A person who is dealing with a handicap or disorder of a sort and is having difficulty doing tasks needs help in figuring out how to solve them. I like variety, problem solving, working with people, and being creative. Looks like an interesting match to me.
Oh... and if I could back up 20 years and pick my bachelors degree over again, I'd choose International Development, which is another interesting problem-solving area. I didn't even know the major existed or I would have changed schools to take it. (I am jealous of my cousin who got a Masters in ID, and she has been all over the world doing amazing things for 20 years.)

I would love to work with animals...I watch out for so many strays in the neighborhood. I spent a week with a very miserable cat who was probably gorgeous in her hey day..... She came to me and I spent a week with a razor blade cutting off her tangles. She purred the entire time as I sat crying. Beneath her tangles were fleas and misery.....
I have a neighbor who is almost a vet, she came over and said the above girl was diabetic to the inth degree. I had her picked up by the county......I have never felt so sad.
I have had hurt possums, raccoons, owls, that I have attended to.
I have also taken care of baby squirrels feeding them with baby bottles
To me this is also Gods calling...May he remember me for my love and care of some of his creation.
