    If I recall, Norway is a constitutional monarchy, so the head would be a king. Or in the case of Norway now, it's a queen, isn't it?

    Impressive, Mony! What has given you this great interest in Norway? And with only a bit of help from your bf, too.

    I give you 6/7.

    The first Norwegian steam ship was Constitutionen, built in England 1826. Vesteraalen is the name of quite a few hurtigrute ships through the years, trafficking from Bergen to the North Cape (currently to Kirkenes). It may, for all I know, be the name of the first steam ship built in Norway.

    And, Seeker, yes, Norway is a constitutional Monarchy. The Head of State (in theory) is the King, currently His Majesty King Harald V. There is indeed no females in the current lineage to the throne (unless Her Royal Highness knows something she has not shared with the rest of the nation).
