Hey we have a small house hence small closets, what's a gal to do? I gave him half of the closet in our bedroom and one day he came out of the room squeezing into a pair of jeans he thought were his because somehow they snuck over to his side of the closet......so as he's trying to get these jeans on he's laughing and comes out into the living room and asks me it his butt looks cute in these jeans! LMAO!! So my secret of sticking a bunch of my clothes way back on his side was found out! Darn!
onacruise,
: and that includes me adding (at considerable expenditure of personal energy

Why would you think that?
Girls always need space for size 2, 4, 6, 8, and possibly 10 to 12 as the years go by....don't ask questions just provide the closet space!......Shoe size doesn't change but styles do.....leave plenty of room for those and purses need to change with the seasons...leave room for them also!!!
What a special man you are by understanding women's closet space!!!!! We are hard pressed to get rid of our beautiful smaller sized clothing and we hang on with all our might ......hoping at some point we fill fit into our size 2 ,4 and 6's.....no matter how out of date they become.......
be a good guy and give up the square footage.

I had to install custom closet setups for rich clients in the past and I was always amazed how much bigger the lady of the house closet was. One time we had to a cubicle set up for all her shoes and I swear, she must have had a 100 pairs.....
LMAO!!
You people crack me up!!!!
I am proud of you girls and boys who are handy. I'm not saying "I am woman here me roar" or anything like that. I mean, I do like to sew. It's just that I have ripped out old paneling, installed drywall, tediously removed ugly windows, smoothed over compound, painted, sanded, spackled, replaced, torn out, drilled, sawed, measured, hammered, rewired, and figured out so many things around my house while my husband sits back with with jaw gaping at my abilities to do these things when he can't even use the screwdriver to hang a picture. He envies me, and I try to teach him how to do stuff, but he just doesn't like it and would rather me do it since I already know how.
And when people make comments like "oh, you're a pretty young girl, so I know you just love to shop" (yeah, those words exactly, and recently), it kinda pisses me off. Not that there's anything wrong with being a shopaholic or anything. Not cracking down on those who do. But if people wouldn't be so ready to generalize and stereotype, and be a little more objective, it would be cool. You know? I guess I kinda have to expect it though.
I'm not gonna lie.....I like to take long baths and pamper myself from time to time, but my husband does too!!! LOL His nickname around the house is princess. After watching me remodel the 1700 sq ft of home we own without having to lift a finger, yes he glad to accept the title of princess, indeed!
