According to the Faithful and Discreet Slave writing in the pages of the Watchtower magazine:
Jesus set up his (invisible) Kingdom in the year 1914.
He (King Jesus) had been given the task of directing the evangelical messege which would separate sheeplike people and goatlike people into distinct groups (according to how they responded to the messege they heard.)
Okay....how well has Jesus lived up to his title and duties of King?
Let us take a look!
Between 1914 and 1924 what did Jesus accomplish?
1. Charles Taze Russell was selected by Jesus Christ as the most faithful and wise earnest seeker of true religion. Russell wrote under the direction of King Jesus. He revealed that Jesus had been ruling among his enemies and would soon end the world in 1914.
Charles Taze Russell had to change his writings about the meaning of 1914. He wrote and taught that 1914 would be the END and ARMAGEDDON would bring about the rapture of the faithful and the destruction of churches and governments on earth. Instead of the END; 1914 was changed to the beginning of the end.
Rutherford and the Society got themselves in legal trouble with the Federal government by answering letters from soldiers serving in the army who wanted to know if Jesus would approve of their service. Rutherford directly advised them to refuse to continue their sworn duty. The government charged Rutherford and his board of directors with treason during a time of war.
Pastor Russell died (1916) and he left specific instructions for how the faithful true religion directed by Jesus the King was to continue the work of teaching and warning concerning the very soon-to-occur Armageddon. Judge Rutherford ignored Russell's requests and pulled a coup taking over directorship of the Watchtower Society. Rutherford, then, must have had Jesus' direction too---except that Jesus' direction soon contradicted what the faithfully selected (among all other religious men) Russell had been directed to teach!
The local congregations were independant under Russell and now came under direct control by Rutherford. Every faithful Bible Student and Russellite (as they were called variously) had to march to the same tune called by Rutherford (under Jesus the King's direction.). True Christians followed Rutherford, then.
Rutherford announced that a mansion was being built in Southern California (Beth Sarim) to house the newly resurrected faithful men of old who would arrive no later than 1925! Eventually the mansion was built and it was Rutherford who moved in!!
1925-1935
The rank and file members of Jesus' "only true religion" were made public spectacles by engaging in International Assemblies where they condemend the other religions of the world and proclaimed everybody who wasn't under the Watchtower's control would be destroyed at Armageddon. These Bible Students became contrarians. They picked fights with everybody and held themselves up to be superior in their righteousness. No birthdays, no flag salute, no voting, no Jesus with a beard, no cross, etc. became the Bible Student's way of differentiating themselves and it got them alot of negative publicity.
Finally Rutherford, (under Jesus the King's exclusive direction) took attention away from King Jesus himself. He changed the name of the only true Christians on the planet by having them become JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES! This was based on a faulty translation of the Hebrew name of God (which Jesus neglected to transmit to his true followers.)
1936-1946 Jehovah's Witnesses worldwide became door to door peddlers of the magazines and books ghost-written for Judge Rutheford. The rank and file member became increasingly detached from society by painting a big target on themselves and their children for continued contrarian behavior directed by Rutherford (and King Jesus.)
Court cases were fought allowing JW's the right to knock on anybody's door and offer the unwitting householder Rutheford's theology and crackpot viewpoints (in the Awake!) about how aluminum cookware was poisonous and germs weren't the cause of disease. JW's landed in court, in jail and in dutch with their families and neighbors.
1947-1957
Under Nathan Knorr and Fred Franz the JW's turned into specific religious movement intent on growing its numbers by a work of indoctrination as training for ministry commenced. Instead of educating the membership with college, seminary and scholarly education; a different method was devised.
The local Kingdom Hall became an indoctrination center. Shoe salesmen, janitors and mobile home assembly workers could spend one hour a week becoming "ordained" ministers considered the equal of University graduated Masters in Theology students in other denominations!
False religion would turn out minsiters and pastors who could read and write Greek and Hebrew. JW's could use words like "parousia" and tell you it meant Jesus the King was invisible.
1958-1968
Congregations of JWs grew in number and the assemblies they attended publicized a public image of a peaceful and obedient people who cleaned up after themselves. Oh yes, and they weren't going to die at Armageddon----everybody else was!
Armageddon had always been close by. But, now--Jesus directed the Watchtower Society to teach the world something very important and urgent! There was about a 7-8 year window of opportunity to become a Jehovah's Witness before the door was closed and the End killed off everybody else!
Hundreds of young men were secretly advised not to "compromise" their loyalty to Jehovah if they were called before their local draftboard during the Viet Nam War. They were to refuse alternate peaceful community service in lieu of Military Duty even though the law allowed Conscientious Objectors to do so rather than fight. These young men, instead of going to college or feeding their families---went to Federal Prison.
1969-1979
A massive campaign of telling everybody who would listen: THE END of 6,000 years of human existence (science had gotten the span of humanity on earth wrong, you see.) was going to end in 1975!
It didn't!
Depression set in. Attendance fell off.
Changes---big changes in the structure of the religion were forming and shaping up to relax strictness.......only to be followed by a very severe backlash!
Brothers and Sisters who had postponed marriage, children, education, careers, retirement savings----all wanted to know WHAT THEY HAD DONE THIS FOR----since Armageddon did not come.
They were told THEY were being unfaithful and they should shut up and go back to the work of placing more magazines and books for Jesus the King.
1980-1990
Things fall apart. The center does not hold. A defector (Ray Franz) blows the whistle on how the theology of JW's has been counterfeit all along. He names names and explains dates. He eventually is disfellowshipped.
A crackdown ensues. Anybody asking questions about 1914, invisible Jesus or displaying too much curiousity about older publications is isolated as a troublemaker and perhaps disfellowshipped as an APOSTATE.
APOSTATE hunting becomes the favorite JW sport.
1991-2007
The government of Jesus the King had been replaced by the worship of JEHOVAH. Now the worship of Jehovah became obedience to THE ORGANIZATION. Faithfulness to Jehovah can only be measured by how much you are willing to obey the ORGANIZATION of Jehovah's Witnesses by keeping your questions to yourself and doing the work you are given.
The Internet becomes a powerful force for revealing everything previously published by Jesus the King's true religion of choice JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES. Comparing what was said to what actually took place gives the following statistical picture of the success of Jesus Christ as King.
100% of everything preached and taught, believed and died for by Jesus directed Jehovah's Witnesses has been DEAD WRONG.
Should Jesus the King, therefore, be IMPEACHED???
