That's great poetry JG it makes it spoints in a very poignant manner. As for the dub poem it underlines the fact that the JWs believe, so wrongly, that they are the means by which God will judge the world in these suppposedly last days. They are not fit for that purpose as one can find numerous reasons for not obeying their FDS.

Awakening...

I was like a wave on an ocean
tossed without direction
thought it was my faith windswept
it was my trust that was shaken

realized that my doubts had reason
logic was my only course
yet wondered if i was lost forever
to the loudness of their words

their rules i did follow
their pious gaze on me
to be humble was what was preached
but meekness i did not see

they followed obediently
like good sheep they be
Jesus said be more like him
i only saw hypocrisy

where was this love
that they so professed?
where was the unity,
the consistency?

appease your fellow man,
follow his rule,
woman be silent,
and give men their due

put in your hours,
put in your time,
as long as we see numbers,
you're doing fine

be humble & sheeplike
echoing in my head
dimmed to a hush and
I woke up instead
