No, but I have been outed in a sense by JWD for posting on JWD!

I'm glad you saw the light before your life got derailed.

    Why thank you.

Honestly, I think most everyone is safe. The society only comes after you if you make a big bold move against them (i.e. maintaining websites, finding secret books etc...)

What I would worry more about is some Dubbie Too Shoes finding you and ratting you out. But there's kind of Double Jeopardy there too... So I wouldn't sweat it too much.

Hey, this is probably not a lot of help, but it's something I had been wondering till I asked.

Round 2 with the elders about a week ago, they were on about how dangerous it is to associate with my 'apostate' friends, I'll loose my family, they are evil.....

Anyway I just asked if I continue associating with them can I be disfellowshipped? The answer... NO!!

They said It can lead to being 'marked' (didn't realise they still did that!) but unless you start promoting 'apostate' ideas you're o.k, they might just make life a bit more difficult, you know meeting with the elders and people avoiding you.

So I suppose it depends on what you''re going to post and the details you give out.

    OH YES!

I was told by a fellow poster that printouts from this forum were presented as the 'proof' of apostacy. Both of them were disfellowshipped.

No family member 'turned them in' - Brooklyn figured out who they were and had them DF'd. Simple as that.

I bet in some congregations the answer would have been yes.

I was d/f for www.jwfacts.com. However, it did not have my name on it at the time, so the elders printed out posts from JWD to try prove that it was me, along with the postal address on my site registrar. I enjoyed playing with them in the JC, as I refused to admit it is my site, and kept asking "what does it matter, the WTS is a cult, isn't that good enough for you?" But they did not want to let up and kept trying to force me to admit it was my site.

Fascinating jwfacts. Did they even attempt to prove that your site contained "lies and half-truths", whatever they are? Or was your fate already determined before the j.c. ever began, as is so often the case?

Thanks for sharing my fellow Bethelite,

    Nvr

P.S.- Don't you secretly pine for morning worship sometimes? Be honest.(LOL!)

nvr... They did not care what was on my site, they barely read it. There was only one doctrinal question that they wanted me to answer "do I believe the GB represents Jehovah's earthly organization?" They side stepped almost every issue I raised. They didn't care if I believed the Bible or in God. "Did I or didn't I believe the GB?"

Morning worship? At that time of morning I could barely keep my eyes open let alone concentrate on the drawl. :)
