Welcome, the JWs have a very judgemental attitude but fortunately your family are not very fanatical about following the org so you have a reasonably balanced life.

Welcome, Rethinking.
When papers/thesis/comps were required. Students had to cite their sources of information. I thought, hmm, the Watchtower and Awake never (or rarely) cite their sources and they're supposed to be "superior" periodicals.
I can think of a few other posters here where their seeds of doubt sprouted in the rich ground of rigorous scholarship.
