The April Fools Watchtower features "The Bible :Practical for Life Today". and offers this jaw dropping thought:
"Do you feel that families would benefit from applying this advice? "Yes, " you may say "it sounds good in theory, but does it really work?"
We invite you to visit the local Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses."
What visitors will no doubt fail to see at local Kingdom Halls is the mass exodus of young Jehovah's Witnesses out of the
organization. Neither will they see the 'hooking up' or pornography downloads or weed smoking or open evidence of
"leading a double life" as the Watchtower puts it. You will be greeted by a facade, plastic smiles and appearances that
paper over the Prozac ( or is it Paxil? ) -depression filled congregations of Jehovah's Witnesses.
It is nothing less than galling to read these lying screeds of propaganda while Witness families fall apart - AND more galling
still - to read Watchtower instructions about shunning - all too often applied to teenagers who were coerced into baptism.
The April 15 Watchtower wants to know "Will Cruelty Ever End? Apparently not, if Jehovah's Witnesses have their way -since
they actively interfere in family life and maintain their cultish power by breaking up families thru enforced shunning,
The above should surprize no one, coming as it does from a group of men who belong in prison. Somebody tell me the
difference between what Enron did ( take peoples money and make bogus promises within a corporation) and the Watchtower's
entire history ( take peoples money and make bogus promises within a corporation). The only difference I see is that
the Governing Body deserve longer jail terms for committing fraud involving millions more people and across parts of three
centuries!
Times change, people change but you always count on the Watchtower never to change its self righteous , destructive boasts.
