I have a running joke I don't drink beer it's to weak.
It's funny when you consider the 300 hundred pound beer drinkers I work with.
I weigh 144 and look like a walking stick, but it takes a six pack before I get a buzz.

IMHO single malt scotch is where it's at. It obtains distinctive characteristics according to its region of origin. Some more grassy, some salty, some smoky, some slighty sweet, etc. They're all good in their own way. Some of my personal favorites:

Macallan
Glendronach
Balvenie
