Did anyone get the old "counterfeit money" illustration?

  OK, then what happens if someone handed the person a Canadian or Australia dollar bill? What would they say about those? Each is just as legitimate as the US dollar.

  Also, this "counterfeit money" illustration is not something the JWs made up on their own, it is used by other Christians as well. I have heard it told a few times over the air on Christian radio programs.

  I hate all of their illustrations! I even hate it that they use illustrations because they think it is a good method to teach people with low IQs. Condescending.

  How about: If you want to know the facts about someone, you ask them, not their enemies--so don't listen to ex-jws . Bah. When I want to know about a company before I sign a contract with them, I check the Better Business Bureau to read the complaints against them. It's not that I believe everything I read, I just want to know all the info instead of just one side.

  YES! The whole "using illustrations" thing is ANOTHER mind control thing....Illustrations were extremely extremely powerful to me when I believed it was the Truth. But the thing with illustrations is that they're not bad in and of themselves, but to use them as frequently as the Witnesses do is NOT good because and illustration is just something that is a way of wording something that is an OPINION. They are not based in actual Facts and INFORMATION....Dangerous thing-them illustrations!
