It's expanding quite a bit, mainly due to the Polish influx. I expect about 5-10 Polish in my Cong to get baptised this year.

(It is estimatedd in my town 1 in 10 is a Pole.

Back in the 1980's the old congo expanded only slightly in the seven or eight years that I was there. Since then I don't know though from what I hear, I gather they and neighbouring congos are about the same as then.

My hometown cong. has a mass exodus over some scandal (?) and the society imported several families from the next county over to suppliment. Some moved, others drive. Add in a couple of the downsized Bethel boys....so now it's back to 50-60, I think. Max in the 70's was 80-100.

When I was 'in' Service meeting was getting about 40-50. Now, about 15-20 and all the servant body have to commute on a roster basis from an hour away.

Actually, my congregation was really reallly big- about 150 on a Sunday. But it didn't shrink or expand drastically, pretty much stayed the same.

shrinking...............they only have one TM school now.
According to my informant (my one JW friend), none of the kids are staying with it. One family we knew well, had 5 kids. So far, only the one boy, about 13 is still attending. Their 16 year old goes under duress, and is trying to get emancipated so she can leave home without her parents calling the police on her every time. She has a job, and a place to live, if they would let her go. She is also a good student, who will go to college on scholarship.
They used to rent a large place for the Memorial, but now they barely fill the KH. Metting attendance is about 40-50. When we were there, it was about 80-100. (10 years ago)

RULES & REGULATIONS
My Congregation had around 85 members in the 90's. With 5 divorces,young teens disfellowshipped,and members moving,there were around 35 in 2000. They have asked other brothers and sisters from other Congregations to join them. Now there are 10 new members. All of them are single. I forgot when there were any new members who joined from the preaching work.
