My sons and I went to see the theater with another sister and her kids (prior to a tour of Bethel). I was very impressed with the restoration job they did there. It looked beautiful.
Does anyone remember??

Hey vita! I love Lucy btw!
I toured the Stanley a few times, and was also amazed by the ornate dressings that appeared there. There were a few very beautiful fountains that I thought must have cost a pretty penny. What kept going through my mind was how is it they only charge 50 cents for a set of mags and they have enough cash flow to restore this theater. I feel that started even my tiny mind wondering where they were getting their money to refurbish this.Of course with volunteers doing the work that cuts out a whole chunk of money. I understand what you are saying, but I feel it is one of the unanswerable.

To Seeker;
Hi! It's ok. I know I don't have my facts straight, it has been a long time. I do remember people really wondering about it though.
If you were at Bethel, then I trust your answer as you were there.
I think my posts get a little to whiney at times. Are you JW?Thanks!

Oh, it's not your fault. Many people talk about that chandelier without knowing all the facts. If you heard them complaining, I'm not surprised you wanted something done about it. It seems more outrageous than it really is.
Are you JW?
No, ex-JW now.
