Ephesians6 there are plenty of us JW's here I assure you. Maybe you'll say something interesting enough someday for us all to come out and talk to you.

    But I doubt it. Yawwwwnnnnnnn.

    Hi Eph,

    I'm still technically a JW--not df'd or anything. Now my beliefs--that's a different matter.

    Welcome to the board!

    Hello, E6.

Cool name, btw. What does it mean?

Hey... I can't speak for all these other heathens, but *I'm* still a JW. Technically. Haven't been to a meeting in years... don't read the magazines, either. And I firmly believe that the governing body is delusional bunch of old men, if not outright evil.

But, I haven't been df'd and didn't disassociate, so I'm still a Dub. Nice meeting you. Are YOU a Jehovah's Witness?

    With you in Sacred Service.

    peace,
    tj

    Welcome Eph!
I too have not d'ad or d'fd, but have not been to a meeting since Memorial 2000, and was sporadic at best over the past 3 years. Was very active for almost 40 years, elder schmelder etc., but have not turned in a field service report for 2 years.

I should know this, but do I still get counted in the annual report as a member?

    Hi Makena1,

If you do not turn in a time card (I forget the actual term for it) at the end of the month you become irregular. If you continuously don't report your time, you become inactive. At this point you are no longer counted in as a "publisher". So technically you are only considered a JW if you report time. Meeting attendance, personal study, prayer, good Christian conduct etc. are pointless if you don't go out in service. The last meeting I ever attended had a talk where they brought this point out crystal clear. Since I could not go to people's doors and blantantly lie to them any more, it became pointless to continue associating. Like others who posted in this thread, I am neither DF'd or DA'd but just faded into oblivion, but I DO NOT consider myself a JW anymore.

Hi Ephesians6 and welcome to the DB

I am neither DA'd nor DF'd, so technically I am still a JW. I also have not been to a meeting for a few yrs, nor do I go door-to-door, as I my conscience will not allow me to go out preaching to people about things I don't believe in anymore.

I do not classify myself as an apostate either, as I still believe in God, Jesus and the ransom sacrifice, and don't do drugs, get drunk nor even fool around with the opposite sex (sigh). I don't hate people who are JWs; rather, I feel sorry for those who are caught in a mind-twisting religion.

    Did that answer your question?
