    How long can the Society keep insisting that the preaching work is so successful when there is virtually zero (alright 1.5%) growth?

    Interestingly, the Society has excluded the percent gain/loss column online. http://www.watchtower.org/e/statistics/worldwide_report.htm

    Thanks 5thG - I was just on the WTS website looking for the 2006 statistics and couldn't find them.

    The 2005 Report on their website did not have the percentages of change either. What was printed in the 2/1/06 WT did show the % Inc Over 2004.

    I was comparing Thailand's numbers for 2005 and 2006 and would like to compare 2004 also. Do you happen to know if they keep previous years numbers listed on their website or only the latest year?

    That's a bloody good point, mate...When they use scriptures like that, you kind of don't even think through the details-cuz you're just blinded by the scripture-but, with a 1.5% growth rate or whatever....you're right-no one's rocking anything.

    1.5% is a human term. We have example of "Time, Times and half a time".

    That would make:
    1 time = 1.5
    times = 3
    1/2 time = .75

    This comes out to an 5.25% growth a year, but remember that a thousand years to Jehovah is but a day.

    That would put the "divine growth" at 5250%!!!

    Surely, a rocking of the nations worthy of our God.

    Hahaha. That is some inspired math there.

    We used to use that scripture about Jehovah rocking the nations to show that Jehovah was a fan of (insert favorite rock band here)...

    Is "Rock The Nations" anything like "Rock the Casbah"? Could have been a good Kingdom Melody, if the Clash had performed it.
