Concerning your post: I learned to appreciate opera when my high school choir teacher sang for us. She was Louella Scarpa, formerly with the Metropolitan Opera in NYC.
Louella Scarpa was my wife's music teacher at South park High School in Beaumont, Texas in the 60's.
Linda, my wife tried to email you to see if you might know how to get in touch with Ms. Scarpa. Also, you both may have attended South Park High School.
We made our 4th trip to Italy this year, and I took her to the Theatro alla Scalla in Milano. Ms Scarpa had performed at the La Scalla Opera in her younger years.
Please email [email protected] my wife would very much like to find Ms Scarpa, as she lost contact over the years. She has tried to contact you, but this site is new to her.
