I literally based my entire life on the things that I learned there.
When I mentioned this fact to the organization's 'mature pillars',

When I realzed they wanted to control my free time, no hobbies if they involved time. I had work or school on week-daye, kh on Sunday, and they (elders) were unhappy that I took Saurday off.

The INTERNET, particularly the websites that quoted from the older publications. Also, RF's testimony. RF was a solid bro. He was branded apostate. It is hard to believe that such a man would turn against the wts. Why? In all fairness, his book merits considering.

I was a Pioneer, I went to prison over the neutrality issue, I was disfellowshipped without a reason that made sense to me. It pulled the rug out from under me.
If the people I built my life around could turn on me in the snap of a finger--what else could I be wrong about?
The few JW's I've spoken to sincerely since my leaving the organization plainly state they "know" the things that aren't right about the religion. They become intellectually dishonest and purposely cognitively dissonant. This helps me see the illness involved in belief itself and sickens me.
I see now that I thought my faith and dedication were based on facts, knowledge and a true understanding of something real. Now, with hindsight and distance, I've become aware that it never was that at all. I was part of a purpose-driven hamster wheel of social programming. It filled my needs and made me feel superior. Nothing much more than that.
It turns my stomach what an idiot I was and how willingly I participated in indoctrinating unsuspecting people with ludicrous fantasy.
I've now resolved that I'll spend an adequate amount of time for the rest of my life fighting these insidious bastards tooth and nail until they admit what liars and dupes they are.

In just less than 8 years most of my friends, and I have left the Org realizing that we spend our time pioneering for NOTHING...
Then it was the issue of the 144.000 and specially those who partake from the so called "emplems" This havenly class people they don't seem to die. More than 20 years the number it is unchanged basically, something that didn't make sense if the door closed back in 1935. Of course now they change it!!!
Then all the rest scandals U.N. Pedophile, Rand Cam Technologies scandal.

My first step was the 607/586/1914 connection. Not only the dates but the interconnection of unrelated scriptures to come up with a conclusion. My fate was sealed when the "new light" came in 1995.
Second, the misapplication of scriptures related to the Great Trib, the convoluted application of Matt 24.
Finially, I hated having my life directed by a few very old men with no life expreience. I wanted a life, a career, success, and happiness. I was getting none of what I wanted and needed to change directions.

The UN is up high on the list. For years, the UN was the "whore of Babylon" and now we see the WT climb right up there with her, grab tight around her body (let the reader use discernment, don't want to fall off now, do we?) share some wine of fornication, grab her some more, kiss a little, snuggle and cuddle, and then when someone sees them, they jump off, wipe off the lipstick and perfume, get tested for STD's and say "I never touched her. I was just checking her ID to see if she was legal to ride a wild beast at her age." Yeah, right. They should check to see if she got pregnant, too. RIGHT, WT GUYS??????
The outright lies about 607 was another thing, just to preserve 1914.
Ray Franz was a biggie. As an author, I can say that his book was a masterpiece. No meanness, very well written, thorough, reasonable and many more good things. Then read a WT article and compare the third grade sentence structure, the venom, the lies, twisting of logic, and all the rest. The WT just as well should write their literature in crayons since that is their level of scholastic knowledge.
And of course, the child abuse scandal. As the father of a victim who might die anytime due to this, I have to say that this is the worst part of their crimes. I literally could kill every GB member without a second thought and get a good night's sleep afterward. The WT is the only organization that I know of, and a religious one at that, that was allowed to become a corporation mostly comprised of mental defectives, perverts, liars, psychopaths, and Nazis. A real shame.

Jehovah's Witnesses have always been exposed for being weird and isolationist. As of late they have been exposed for being crooked. As a child placing the magazines for 5-10-15-25 cents we would often get chided for helping profit the coffers of Watchtower. The public would often remark about our abject obedience while following the mandates coming down from a catered to ivory tower. The churches in many regions while respecting the door to door aspects of the JW ministry, warn thier parishners to avoid the J-Dubs at all costs. The biggest AH HA moment that regulated the witnesses to "just like them" status was the Dateline series on child abuse. For the masses still obediently serving the borg, fear and complacency will continue be thier master. This will blunt any internal exposure. Personally having served as an elder and at bethel, being crooked and exposed isn't the real kicker. We are all crooked and sometimes exposed. The real problem with WTBS is thier desire to control every, every every, every nano-second of our lives. Telling us during one of thier service meeting parts last year "You can even schedule recreation" come on. With every crooked and exposed organization the kick backs are spread around. Not so with Watchtower. This organization is run like a plantation. Why must the Governing Body look like the Supreme court down to the one African American and the latest two 50 yearold white male appointees. Where are the Japanese, Mexicans, South Americans, Africans come on. Only people of a certain pigment feel the anointing???
