Randy,
Thank you for posting this, and also thank you, too for all the good work you have done/are continuing to do exposing Jehovah's Witnesses and their various Organizations for what the truly are.

By the way, be sure and check out the new blood PDFs at the end of the article:

Another point of good news, http://www.freeminds.org is getting over 1600 unique visitors a day now!

A very clear explanation and discussion as usual. It's frightening to consider that one old and mentally impaired person might make the rules that kill so many.
Recently there was a thread on what was the most damning issue that has come up in recent years that has caused many to leave the Watchtower. The United Nations disassociating the Watchtower was about the most siginificant. I can attest to that, as I have virtually a whole site dedicated to that at http://www.randytv.com and have had numerous emails of people leaving over this issue.
But NOBODY DIED over that debacle. Friends, THOUSANDS OF ADULTS AND CHILDREN have died over the blood transfusion issue! To me, this is much more significant than even the Malawi persecution and the 25 cent party cards that the JWs were forbidden to buy (yet in Mexico the opposite was tolerated) as exposed by Raymond Franz in "Crisis of Conscience." It is not just a vote, there is a FACE BEHIND THE CURTAIN, the wizard Smalley. And he is featured on the KNOCKING video that JWs are so in love with right now, and that is playing all over the country. I am not sure I can name another Watchtower leader who has had such a significant influence on the life AND DEATH OF THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE, CAN YOU?
My mole just emailed me, I will add comments shortly.

The blood doctrine is primarily why I left. I have investigated this subject very thoroughly. I have debated this subject with JW's many times. The final conclusion is just bad news for the WT Society. They are WRONG on blood.
Just like they were wrong on vaccinations, organ transplants, end of the world predictions, alternative service etc etc. before.
This policy is just bad news.
I just corrected one of the links in the additional articles, sorry:

Yes Randy!
Greetings. Fred Franz and Clayton Woodworth; even the Judge did not approve the publication of Freddie's "special knowledge." Knorr, at first reluctant, allowed the doctrine to go "into print." In THE FOUR PRESIDENTS OF THE WATCH TOWER SOCIETY it is stated that there are those who would wish to lay the blame for this catastrophe at the feet of those two men. Please see the following link, which also quotes Jerry Bergman.
www.jehovahs-witness.com/12/126825/1.ashx - "Persecution Wanes/Banning Blood Garners Publicity"
Bergman said that the blood doctrine had gained more publicity than any other WT issue in the last twenty years. [at the time of writing] It was just a publicity stunt!
Thank you,

Randy:
Thank you so much for providing this information and for all of the research that you provide on your websites!
Thanks Compound for adding that information from The Four Presidents:
Hayden C. Covington told the author [of THE FOUR PRESIDENTS] that Fred Franz saw the prohibition against blood transfusions as a way to accomplish two things: to continue to publicize the religion, and to create an uproar in the community. This reaction would convince the membership they were being "persecuted" and "suffering for righteousness sake," a sure sign they were "in the truth."
Yes, how many cult leaders develop new doctrines to make them exclusive? Look at Rutherford and the "new name" of "Jehovah's witnesses." Evidence is overwhelming that the early Christians not only did not use the name Jehovah, but they plainly proclaimed themselves as Jesus witnesses, not Jehovah. Like the issue of Jesus dying on a stake rather than the cross, it is a flag to rally those who hate the churches and who want to be part of the "only true religion." What monumental egos these alpha males have!
Thanks to Bergman and the anonymous author of PRESIDENTS!
Smalley knew who I was when I mentioned my name. I hope he's reading this, but he probably doesn't even get on the net.
