When did the 14th start? When does the 15th start? What date is Monday after sunset, Jewish calendar?
Many years ago, I wondered why the memorial was the day AFTER our full moon, and an elder said that it had to be the full moon in Isreal, not here.
I guess this year is one of those years.
Jerusalem is only 8 hours ahead of USA central daylight time. Today is the 14th in Jerusalem and here. After sunset Monday will be the 15th here and in Jerusalem. The 15th is the correct date for the start of Passover, so they got the day right but the date wrong.
So, ask your Witness why Memorial is being held on the 15th?
So, you're saying it should have been tonight at sunset?
Sunday the 1st of April, 2007 sundown is Niacin 14th. Sundown Monday, is Niacin 15th. Watch Tower says Jesus died Niacin 14th.
I don't get it.
Can I compare this argumentation, with the answer about 1914? That is also a wrong year after the calculating you know 587/607.
Or is there a special orcation for you to bring this issue up?
Back to the origional question... I think the JW Memorial is about the few who think they are worthy to eat the bread and wine. It is all about them being able to rub it in the noses of those who don't get to go to heaven. "Look at how great I am. Jehovah loves me enough to want me with him in heaven."
At least that is what I imagine them thinking.
Ok, I'm going to keep a tally tonight, since I'll be going: How many times Jehovah is mentioned. Vs How many times Jesus is mentioned. Vs How many times there is a reference to the Org. i.e. 'Faithful and Discreet Slave', 'Governing Body', 'Society' Although I'm actually certain the Org will get few references, it might prove interesting.
Be sure to include the word "anointed" in your Org column.
