Aer they going to come to know the God and Father of our Lord Jesus by going to a Baptist or Catholic church? Discouraging them from studying the Bible. All they'll learn now is drivel. And you're BRAGGING about it!

I did tell him what to avoid - actually he told himself by reading my story. What would be better to avoid than Lies, Manipulation, False Prophecy and a Bible that misrepresents God and Christ?

I actually know several fine Christians who are Baptists and Catholic - not sure why you would wish to attack them here, on an xjw forum any way.

I have done nothing to discourage this man from studying the Bible - just the opposite. Jw's don't study the Bible - they study books that misrepresent what it says - then change it later anyway.

I am not Bragging - I am happy of a good turn I was able to make to another human being before he ruined decades of his life believing demonic teachings, as I did. Pride is of no concern here at all - moot. I bear myself with no shame of having accepted what I did, and rejecting what I knew to be false.

Mad - I don't understand your' attacking me here. I just related what he said. I did no prompting. I don't know what he believes about God and Jesus - anything he believes would likely be closer to truth than the WTS lies in that regard. I believe John 14:6 myself, if that matters to you.

He did later relate several reasons that he was doubting the WTS dogma, before he read my story or any other. Interestingly his doubts arose from his reading of WTS publications, and the unsatisfactory responses he got from the 'brother' who was studying with him. My story just confirmed his doubts. My story is just that - what I experienced. What, if any, effect it has on others is relative to their particular paradigm.

I know this must distress any Jw - to know that some people are willing to actually investigate your religion before they put their head in the noose - but it looks like some are. SInce I know it is a lie [irregardless of your opinion], it makes me happy when they do. Someday you may know it is a lie also - and that the Baptist's and Catholics tell fewer doctrinal lies than the Jw's do - and you may be happy too. Until then, I suppose you just have to be MAD.

This thread was started about my happiness - your hijacking it to make it something it isn't is not cool. But, I forgive you.

Now, Brother Mad, you know that 99% of the members here are happy to be out of the WTS and rejoice when yet another JW comes out of the organization to enjoy spiritual, mental and emotional freedom from the oppression. If that makes you, well.................MAD..............then why do you come here to subject yourself to it? Why not just relax and enjoy the other point of view without getting so....well..........MAD? Your blood-pressure is going to go through the roof, bro' if you stick around here.
