Welcome, Rosiegurl. Like you raised "in the truth" but now,

I'm seeing witnesses in a different light now....like not all of them are 100% dedicated

I went to the Memorial last night and I still go to the occasional Sunday mtg w/my wife. But I feel like a complete outsider, a foreigner and I do believe there are others that may feel the same way but who can be brutally honest in this environment? Well, you can be, but not w/o consequence. Your father may be more open-minded than you know.

One must also consider the fact that in a married couple, if Mister disassociates or is disfellowshipped, Mrs will find herself in a ghetto, no one showing up at home anymore. So, for the sake of our mate who wants to remain a witness, as she(he)'s free to do, let's remember that we said yes for the best and the worst, and let's endure.

mr. madman, the solution is not to consider all humans are screwed up! That's another of the JW falacies based on the old "inheritance of sin" idea that permiates Christian and cult thinking. The solution is to realize that we are all born noble THEN some screw themselves up with dubious doctrins that are self-distructive. Not all humanity, however, is stuck in that rut. carmel

Welcome! I used to do the AOL chat rooms. Wonder who your dad is now:) Since I can't remember my own screen name, it likely wouldn't help much, but I know if I heard(read) some of those names again, I would remember. Sandiafaith! OLB! and the very disliked and IMO creepy Leta UGH. Anyone remember her? I bet they are all still posting in their little coven of JWs.
