Note: I originally posted this under the UN/NGO thread, but decided to make a new thread.
While the board was down yesterday (Sunday) I wandered over to H20's site to check out the discussions about this whole UN/NGO-WTBTS connection. Someone had alluded to the fact that perhaps apostates were actually the ones that forged Lloyd Barry's signature and filled out the paperwork to get the society signed up as an NGO.
Even if accepting money from the UN is not a bad thing, then why the change in tone in articles written in WT & Awakes after 1991? Numerous links have been posted on this thread to substantiate.
Sometimes, if it smells like dog-poo, it is dog-poo.

P.S. Who originally uncovered this anyway? Was it Kent? Great job to whoever (or is it whomever) it was!

Damned! Have the rocket scientist found out it was me yet?

I need more BOE letters, KMs and other material. Those who can send it to me - please do! The new section will be interesting!!
When all else fails, blame the Feelthy Apostate Conspiracy! Everyone knows they are incredibly organized, have frequent strategy meetings in secret in Norwegian caves, and are behind each and every bit of alleged chicanery, deceit, and dirtyhanded dealings attributed to the WT Societies.
Yes I confess we forged old Lloyd's name and are using this UN business to embarrass and confuse JWs. We also manufactured all the pedophile cover-up stories. Each and every personal testimony of judicial abuse and any other form of abuse among JWdom is fiction.
Us feelthy apostate debauched scum want to drag Jehovah's Perfect People down into our same low nasty sink of debauchery. Of course that's it, isn't it guys? Everyone knows no JW would ever have relations with the Wild Beast or its minions...
Disgusted with the willfully blind, MD wondering what rationalization they will try next
Hi Tweety, I went over to H20 last night too and after this retard acused the apostates he then basically hinted that Barry was struck down dead right infront of an audience!Heres that portion of his post.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Have you also noticed that the Watchtower Society’s application to become a Non-Government Organization of the United Nations was signed by Lloyd Barry of the Governing Body who later was suddenly struck dead while giving a talk in Honolulu in which he said that Jehovah will destroy all His enemies? This reminds me of how Herod sought to give himself glory and also suddenly expired by the hand of God although Barry died of a heartattack while Herod was eaten up by worms. See, Jah does take note of those who oppose Himself and sell out by linking church to state.

This is one of the first things my brother said as to why the GBs and writing dept's signatures were on the documents! [8>]

According to the Guardian Newspaper (8 Oct 01), "being a recognised NGO with the United Nations - as more than 1,500 organisations are - gives status though not grants."
So where did the information come from that said the WTBTS benefited financially?
I am not being awkward, just curious, and like to get all my facts straight. Then when I verbally attack JW's with it, I get it right first time!!
OK, so if anyone else gets asked about fraudulent sigs, this is what you should say:
"I thought of that, too. But the application was approved in 1991. Don't you think in 10 years the WBTS would have received correspondence from the UN that they could have questioned? Also, every year there is a convention of NGO's--when the WBTS got invited, don't you think they would have looked into the matter and removed themselves from the list if their application was fraudulent?
Wouldn't there have been an article in the WT or A about underhanded apostates fraudulently completing applications?"
