What proof that the FDS is a fantasy!

There has been much discussion of the "new light" regarding 1935. What I find interesting are the comments that prove to me the "faithful and discreet slave" are irrelevant in this organization. In this QFR they make comments stating that newly anointed "do not demand special attention" and they "do not believe that they necessarily have more Holy Spirit than their companions" of the other sheep. Well there you have it. Imagine a person can be part of the group that DIRECTS the organization, yet not have any special attention or extra Holy Spirit. Go figure....

All the pink balloons can be popped with a pin, leaving only the black ones. They got rid of
Jesus Christ long ago. Now FDS is gone, but notice the lines always just went past FDS
    anyway.

ISN'T THE DRAFT DRAWING a bit disleading in that it infers that both elders and ministrial servants are equals, both report directly back to governing body.

Funny, I just had a chat with an elder buddy (who may not be for too much longer) who swears that the GB are humble men who seek out the FDS for guidance on running the organization.

Perhaps you could ask him about the mechanism by which this is done.

I have been associated with the organization, quite intimately at times, for over sixty years and,

as yet, no one has been able to tell me how the gb seek out guidance from the so called FDS.

After all there is no record kept of the names of the so called FDS, so how do they even know whom they should contact.

The doctrine of the Faithful and Wise Servant (aka Faithful and Discreet Slave) was invented by the wife of C.T.Russell: Maria Russell as partly a woman's empowerment issue.

Maria considered herself a "twain" of C.T.Russell and co-inventor of holy spirit inspired explication of the true meaning and import of scripture.

Russell finally came around to accepting HIS PART, but, squeezed Maria completely out of the picture as she demanded equality in the organization.

If anything, it was Maria's imaginative idea that has brought the Watchtower Organization as far as it has gone.

Rutheford succeeded C.T.Russell and allowed the attributing to remain upon Pastor Russell for awhile. (At least as long as it took to wrest the legal corporation away from Russell's named successors!)

Then, the doctrine began to twist slowly, slowly in the wind.

Just a cursory look over the organization's history clearly shows that "spiritual food" and "direction" never came from a composite slave class. The "class" was nothing but a pipe dream. It existed on paper only.

The teachings, publications, and preaching campaigns were all directed under the direction of a president and board of directors. The release of publications and articles have often been just as much of a surprise to "annointed" ones as to the "other sheep". The Governing Body became a formal institution much later on. To this day, policies which are voted upon by the Governing Body are cloaked under the euphemistic term: "direction from the slave class".

When the organization urges the Witnesses to listen to the council from the "slave class", they are really instructing the friends to comply with a body of ten to fifteen men. So far, the rhetoric has worked.
